In 1996, Ms Emenke earned her Yoga Siromani and Yoga Acharya (Master of Yoga) certifications from the www.Sivananda.org. She was given the Hindu spiritual name "Omkari", a nickname bestowed upon her by the venerable Swami Sita of the Yoga Farm. In 2005, Omkari travelled to India for 2 months, in order to study Ayurvedic Massage techniques, classical Indian dance, and Vipassana meditation. On September 19 2006, she presented a slidewhow about the various Kerala specialty treatments that she learned in India. Mantra meanings were explained, and exotic plant identification photos were passed around during the slideshow. Ayurvedic medicine was introduced from a spiritual point of view. Explanation of Panchakarma was briefly touched on, before going into more detailed overview of some specialty Kerala Treatments, of which some are used in major spas today, such as Sirodhara and Udvartana. Several questions were answered during the presentation.
